Millions of visitors arrive in New York every year by train or bus. Centrally located stations take you right to the heart of "the city that never sleeps".

The Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, Broadway , Time Square, Central Park and Fifth Avenue shopping are just a few of the reasons for visiting the “Big Apple”. New York City, is split in to five boroughs, but most of the tourist attractions are centered in Manhattan.

Traveling to New York by bus or train takes you to the heart of Manhattan; cutting out the time and expense of getting to and from the airport. Centrally located terminals link with the subway and local buses to provide access to all of New York City. Two major rail stations and two bus terminals welcome visitors from every corner of the United States.

Rail Stations

Penn Station

Amtrak trains from all over the US and Canada arrive at Pennsylvania (Penn) Station, together with Transit trains from New Jersey, including Newark Airport.

The station, set below street level, stands on 8th Avenue, between 31st and 33rd streets.

Centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, there are numerous public transport connections including subways A,C,E,1,2 and 3 from 34th Street - Penn Station and B,D,F, N,Q,R,V and W from Herald Square which is just a block away.

Bus routes M10, M16, M20, M34 and Q32 all pass the station.

Grand Central Station

The iconic Grand Central Station standing between 42nd Street and Park Avenue is the terminus for Metro-North Railroad trains from the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut. Subway lines S, 4,5, 6 7 stop at Grand Central-42 Street and buses M42 and M104 pass the station

Bus Terminals

Port Authority Bus Terminal

The world's busiest bus terminal is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just one block west of Time Square, between 8th and 9th Avenues and 40th and 42nd Street. Daily, over 200,000 passengers use the terminal, which has services to and from every major US city.

The central location provides easy access to local buses, taxis and the subway including the A C E, 1 2 3, N Q R W, 7, and S New York City Subway lines.

George Washington Bridge Bus Station

The George Washington Bridge Bus Station is found in Upper Manhattan, between 178th and 179th Streets. This station serves mainly New York State and New Jersey, with longer distance services leaving from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Local buses and the 8th Avenue Express A line and Broadway/7th Avenue Local 1 line subway services provide links to the rest of New York.
